Ownership of Gear All rental turnout gear is and shall remain the property of FireService Management of Michigan, LLC, dba TurnoutRental.com, (the Company).

Return of Gear Upon Termination of Agreement Within ten (10) days of completion of your training program, the Student must return the Bunker Coat and Pants, Firefighter Helmet with Face Shield, Firefighter Boots and Gear Bag to the Company. As an option, the Student may keep the Firefighter Gloves and Hood. For each seven (7) day period thereafter, or any part thereof, until the rental gear is returned you will be charged an additional rental of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). In the event the rental gear is not returned in full within thirty (30) days from the date of the completion of your training program, in addition to the continuing rental charge you will be charged an amount equal to the then full replacement cost of the entire ensemble made the subject of this rental agreement, but, in any event, no less than Five Hundred dollars ($500.00). Any deposit made by you hereunder, to the extent not applied to reconditioning of the gear as herein provided, may be applied by the Company to the payment of the additional rental charges.

Condition of Gear The Student agrees to accept the Gear as is. The Company shall not be liable to the Student for any loss, claim, demand, liability, cost, damage or expense of any kind, caused, or alleged to be caused, directly or indirectly, by the Gear, or by any inadequacy thereof. Normal wear and tear is included in the rental price and includes, but is not limited to, small holes and tears in the coat and pants; missing snaps, hooks, or suspender buttons; and, minor abrasion damage to the cuffs and knee pads. Minor scratches on the helmet and visor would also be considered normal wear and tear. Damage which the Student shall be responsible for includes, but is not limited to, large holes or tears in the coat or pants; large burned or scorched areas on the coat or pants; a cracked helmet shell; a broken face shield; toes of boots worn down to expose the steel cap (boot toe covers are provided with rental ensembles to prevent this damage); any paint, decal or appliqué applied to the helmet that is not easily removable or would cause damage to the helmet upon removal; and, any damage caused as a result of improper cleaning.
